Hi, I’m Joo! I'm an Art Director & Designer with over a decade of experience across branding, content and digital, currently based in Los Angeles, California.
I was born in Seoul, raised in San Diego, packed up my life to study design in New York, and somehow collected a handful of cities along the way — from NYC to LA to Seoul to Stockholm — before finding my way back to Los Angeles again. Safe to say I’ve mastered both brand systems and airport security lines.
I specialize in brand strategy, visual identity, and brand communications — creating work that helps brands feel human, intentional, and actually connect with people. I’ve been hands-on designing since 2010, which means I’ve spent well over a decade obsessing over the details, refining ideas, and moving fast — really fast. I’m probably one of the quickest designers you’ll ever work with, without sacrificing thoughtfulness or quality.
Over the past 6 years, I’ve also stepped into creative leadership roles, leading teams and overseeing everything from big-picture creative direction to the final pixel across digital, print, still, and motion.
I believe design sits at the center of everything we do. Great design should look beautiful, yes — but more importantly, it should solve problems, answer questions, and make everyday life feel a little more thoughtful.
